Juvederm Volift Retouch vs Volift
This is the small brother of Juvederm’s original midface skin filler Volift. Both products have the same characteristics, composition, and actions. They each can reduce deep midface and nasolabial wrinkles, restore lost volume in the cheekbones, chin, and cheeks, as well to deliver natural-looking facial contouring effects. Their durability is also the same – up to 15 months per one injection session. What sets them apart is just one thing – Juvederm Volift Retouch was created specifically for touch-up sessions, while its big brother is used for the main treatment. For that reason, the former:
- Has a smaller package size – It features 2 x 0.55mg/ml prefilled disposable syringes rather than 2 x 1ml syringes
- Is a more budget-friendly and less wasteful option for follow-up sessions
- Can also be used for the filling of smaller, more delicate areas that do not require a lot of gel to be properly filled and corrected
The importance of touch-up sessions
Professional HA fillers are non-permanent because they biodegrade a few weeks or months after they have been injected into the skin. That is why, if patients want to maintain the achieved results, they need to undergo follow-up sessions before the effects of the treatment wear off. These additional injection sessions do not take a lot of time and do not require the use of a great amount of injectable gel. Since Hyaluronic Acid skin fillers come in prefilled single-use syringes, the existence of this product makes sense.
